New Advanced Driver Course - 6th August 2026

 

We will be at the Lostock Parish Centre, Tempest Road, Lostock, BL6 4EL at 7.00 pm for a 7.30 pm start.  If you know of someone interested in joining our happy band, why not give their contact details to Katherine Whittle (01204 848449) so that she can send them an information pack.  The course fee is just £210 and includes all practical on the road guidance, books, membership fees and test fee

Please Note; Places are limited on each course.  If a course is over subscribed those registered will be offered places on the next available courses.

The evening will commence at 7.00pm (please arrive in good time) with the Presentation of Certificates to the successful candidates on our Diploma Course 2026.  We hope that everyone will join us for this important event, which will include the presentation of our special Diploma Award – “The Hugh German Memorial Trophy”.

 

After a break, the Group Meeting will then continue at approx 7.45pm, when our guest speaker is Steve Williams with a talk entitled “Four Tins”

 

Steve is a Lancashire based historian and author who offers highly entertaining talks to many types of organisations.  He spent most of his working life in sales and marketing, being comfortable presenting at conferences, product launches, seminars, meetings and training sessions.  His main interest and passion is the First World War.

 

His talk looks at military and social history using four tins – a WW1 Christmas tin, a tin of emergency rations issued for D-Day in WW2, a coal miners lunch tin and a tin of Heinz baked beans – all of which have a Lancashire connection.

 

This is a talk not to be missed.  We meet at Lostock Parish Centre.  Group meetings are open to all, please arrive by 6.45pm so that you have time to get organised and take your seat ready for a 7.00pm start.

 

Associates "Meet the Examiner" Evening

 

 

If you are an Associate, then we expect you to attend as this evening forms part of your course.  The evening has been arranged so that the Examiner can tell you what he will be looking for on your test and to give you an opportunity to ask him any questions you may have about the test or driving in general.  If you are unable to attend please let your Mentor know.  We will be at Lostock Parish Centre, Tempest Road, Lostock, Bolton, BL6 4EL, please arrive by 7.15pm ready for a 7.30 pm start and the session will end at approx 10.00pm.
